The Story of Being a Mascot

I've joined a group of a few other photographers who decided to commit to a 12 month project! We're calling our series "Life Story: The Story of ________" and we'll each be filling in our own blanks. At the end of this post is a link to another photographer who participated and she'll be linking to someone else. It's a whole big circle of stories in pictures so please continue the circle and enjoy!

So many people think the life of a mascot is all glamour and photo shoots. After all, the mascots ARE the stars of the event represented, right? And I agree, there are many perks....

A mascot gets chauffeur service...

Security is always on call...

There's lots of time for pampering...

and for fun and games.

Hanging out with big stars is a big plus!

But, there are also stars who feel threatened by your awesomeness and try to beat you up!

Frightened kids.

The paparazzi will NOT leave you alone!

Frightened kids.

They make you COOK your OWN lunch!! hmph!

And did I mention frightened kids?

But, at the end of the day, the smiles and hugs make it all worthwhile!!

Thanks for sharing a day in the life of my son (the egg)! Please click on through and see what story Azure has for us this month!
