Life Story: The Story of His Best Friend

I recently joined a group of photographers who decided to commit to a 12 month project! We're calling our series "Life Story: The Story of ________" and we'll each be filling in our own blanks. Butch has been in our lives for about 3 years now. He's the most loyal, affectionate friend a kid could ever want. He definitely belongs to my youngest, though he's also quite fond of me...at feeding time. :)

We have a strict "no dogs on the bed" rule. Really. We do!

During the day, while my youngest is at school, Butch spends his time alternating between laying on his blankie in his favorite sunbeam (where he's supposed to sleep at night) and watching out the window for his boy.

As soon as Butch hears our car pull into the driveway, he bounds around the corner to greet us...well, to greet HIM!

They have a rousing game of "rope".

Butch usually wins. :)
